Dust Mites Must Die

So, after suffering from an almost constant runny nose for the last ten years or so, I finally went to see an allergist today. Turns out that I’m allergic to dust mites. Thankfully, that was the only thing I was allergic too. I was worried the tests would show a whole bunch of things and they’d say, “There really isn’t anything we can do for you.”

Now I just have to get a hypoallergenic cover for my bed and pillow, wash my sheets, dust and vacuum every week and hope that helps. It’s not very encouraging but they did also give me some nose spray which I have high hopes will do the trick.

Anyway, not much else to say. This wasn’t much either but I hadn’t posted in a while so I thought I’d throw something up. :)

The Weather Outside is Frightful

It’s really been bothering me that Christmas is less than two weeks away and our weather forecast reads, “high’s in the sixties and lows in the mid-forties.”  I’m sure some people are accumstomed to such weather in late December but southeast Missouri isn’t usually like this.

I’m ready for some cold weather.  I’m ready for some snow.

The End of the World

I’ve decided to start this dream blog off with bang.  The end of the world kind.  :)

I was visiting Dan in his office at work. When we finished talking, I left the room and closed the door. I then realized that I needed to go back into his office for something. When I opened the door Dan was gone and there was a strange man at his desk. I asked him where Dan had gone and he looked surprised that I was asking about him. I then realized that somehow eight hours had passed since I was last in this office. I asked the man several times what time it was but he wouldn’t respond. I then realized I had lost more than eight hours. Somehow I had lost two days.

It was then that Albus Dumbledore appeared and said, “if we’re going to fix this we have to hurry.” So I hurried after him and outside we went. Outside there was some sort of fair or carnival going on and before I knew it I had lost Dumbledore. So I started flying around hoping to find him and instead I found my Dad. I followed him for a little bit and we ended up outside of the fair. Almost like on the outskirts of the town where the fair was located.

Then there was a massive explosion. Like a nuclear explosion and ground zero was the fair grounds. I quickly flew back to try to help anyone I could. It was very bizarre flying against the wind and seeing a wall of flame coming my way. Hoping that my superman powers were as strong as they are in the comics I plunged through the wall and was hovering over ground zero. Strangely the buildings were still standing but there was smoke everywhere and I knew that with that smoke was deadly radiation. So I started spinning around and using super breath to blow away the smoke, flames and radiation. After a few turns I realized it was in vein. There was no one left to save. Then I saw a streak of smoke in the sky and I realized another nuke was heading for what was either another part of a very large city or a sister city to the one I was currently in.

So I flew over to it hoping I could stop the nuke before it hit. As I flew the wind increased dramatically. So much so that I was barely moving forward at all. It took all of my will power to fly against it. I realized this was the beginning of a nuclear winter. Then I started to worry that my powers would fail since the sun would be blocked out but I knew I had to reach the next town so I kept on going. When I got there I was in a mall and people where mostly going about their normal business but some had heard of the nearby strike were trying to buy supplies for the nuclear winter. I was trying to tell people what had happened and one lady asked me how I could have survived. Since it seemed like the end of the world I didn’t see a point in keeping my powers a secret so I told her. (I don’t know what happened to the other nuke I had seen but it was no longer a part of the dream.) Then I saw my cousin Phillip and he said he needed to go back to the other town and look for his dad. I started to tell him there wasn’t anyone left but he wouldn’t hear it. He insisted that his dad would have found a way to survive. So I asked him if he wanted me to fly him there.

Then I woke up.

It was very strange to really feel like I was witnessing the end of the world and would soon be it’s only survivor.

Dream Posting

I’ve decided to start blogging some of my dreams. I have a very active dream life and though I’ve almost completely lost the ability now, when I was younger I could manipulate my dreams in almost any way. I still have lucid dreams so I always know I’m dreaming but I can’t seem to make changes the way I did as a kid.

There’s a couple thing you should know before you start reading. While I hope that my story will make sense I do not guarantee it. I am going to try explaining them from the point of view in which I experienced them. So I jump from one topic, location, setting or whatever to another it’s because that’s how I remember the dream.

Also, in almost all of my dreams I have the powers of Superman. I literally spent years learning how to use and control my abilities and now they are a part of me, like an arm or leg is in waking life. Regardless of the dream I am having I always know I can call on my abilities for any reason I may need them.

Oh, and one last thing, names. For the most part I will probably not be changing the names of the people who appear in my dreams. Unless for some reason I decide to for a particular dream. However, I won’t be telling you when I do this. So just know that some names are real people and some aren’t. :)

A New Home

I’ve moved my web site to a new hosting provider. Over the next few days I’ll be working on restoring the photo gallery and friends mailing list.

Thankfully I was able to restore all of my old blogs as well. I won’t go into details but my easy backup restore idea didn’t work. So I’ve spent the past few hours trying different things until I was finally able to get them back. I know it’s not a big deal to the world, since no one reads them anyway, but I don’t like to lose anything I’ve taken the time to write down. :)
