Ringtone Crazy!
So, last week I switched cell phone providers, from Verizon to Cingular. I had service with Verizon since 1999 and never had any problems until I moved to Cape a little over a year ago. I won’t go into details but after dealing with the problem for over a year my contract finally expired and I made the switch.
After extensive research I decided on the LG CU500 model phone. My past two phones have been LG and I really like their devices. This one is no different. It has great functionality, a nice big LCD screen and overall it seems to be a good phone. The only draw back is that it doesn’t have built in voice dial capabilities and I won’t pay $4 extra a month to use Cingular’s version. Anyway, the reason for this post is to rave about how much fun it is to create my own ringtones.
I simply love the USB interface provided on all the Cingular phones. I opted to buy my USB cable from a third party because it was much cheaper and it came with software to help edit/create ringtones as well as manage data, pictures and video on the phone. I’ve already filled up the phones built-in memory with ringtones. But not to worry last night I ordered a 2GB microSD card to help alleviate that problem. With that much space I’ll be able to create a specific ringtone for every one of my contacts if feel so inclined.
